This is a custom-made guzheng hand crafted by the Gold Medal Award winner, Mr. Wang
Jianchun of the Tianyi Factory.
Mr. Wang Jianchun's instruments are a favorite among professional guzheng players for
their fullness of sound and versatility.
The sound board is selected from the best grade of air-dried paulownia cut in the
quartersawn method. The quartersawn-cut method is known as the best cutting method
of sound boards for musical instruments. It provides a more stable and clear sound
compared to the flatsawn-cut. The bottom of the sound board is carved with sound
grooves to increase volume.
The straight and tight grains of the sound board yield the best concert-level sounds. This
instrument sounds full and resonant with strong bass and sweet highs. The middle range
is solid and has a clarity that can't be heard in other instruments.
The frame is golden-thread Nanmu, and it's detailed decorate with dragon carving. The
characteristics of Nanmu is deep, soft and sweet.
This model has 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. It comes with a 3-piece matching
stands, Musedo guzheng chromatic tuner, finger picks, and 1-10 spare strings.
